E:JECT Frequently Asked Questions

How big is E:JECT?

It will fit perfectly inside a poker sized card box.

How high will E:JECT go?

It will go from roughly 2 - 12 feet. If you remove the ink barrel inside the sharpie (we teach you how) it will go to about 15 ft.

How do you charge E:JECT?

Ideally charge using supplied USB C lead attached to a power bank or a laptop. If you do charge via mains, remove after 10 minutes as extended wall current will damage the unit and that isn’t covered under warranty.

How long will the battery last?

We don’t know! We lost count after hundreds of fires 😎 There is a power indicator to show when you are below 20% but we’ve never seen that light and Noel and Roddy use E:JECT all the time.

How long does E:JECT take to charge?

E:JECT takes less than 10 minutes to fully charge.

Will one remote control more than one unit?

Yes. Please contact us if you’d like to know how to pair a remote with more than one unit.

Can I put other things inside E:JECT?

Yes, but use common sense. It needs to be rigid and approximately the same diameter as a sharpie in order to trigger the sensor.

If you put something loose (like tiny pieces of confetti) it will jam.

A different type of pen will work if it’s a similar diameter to a sharpie, a rolled up card or a wand are all fine.

Will it work with different types of sharpies?

It’s built to work with a standard sharpie. It won’t work with a clickable sharpie or Sherpa because the diameter of these is bigger.

Will it work with a different type of pen, a wand, or other cylindrical objects?

Yes. If it’s a very similar diameter to a sharpie and rigid, it will work. It needs to trigger the sensor.

Is E:JECT available from my local magic shop?

For now, E:JECT is exclusive to Trick Trick Boom. We ship from the UK to everywhere and if you order in the US, we have a buddy who ships for us in the US.

I can’t catch, can I use E:JECT?

Yes! You can fire it from your breast pocket to spectators by bending forward a tiny amount. We teach you exactly how to do this safely.

Does it have to be breast pocket?

If you are using E:JECT in close up, yes, if you want consistent results. You can fire from other pockets but it’s very, very hard to get consistent results and catching is tough because of that.

Can I take it on an aeroplane?

Noel and Roddy have flown loads with it in checked luggage but as yet haven’t flown with it in carry on.

Where can I get help with E:JECT?

Support is via the Facebook group, the link is in the instructions and will be on the secret page.

If you don't have Facebook contact us via the contact page.

I’ve lost or broken the remote control - what do I do?

No worries. We have replacements, contact us.

Is there a warranty?

Yes, we offer a one year warranty. If you have any issues contact us and we’ll repair or replace. Please keep your purchase receipt or confirmation from the shop you got E:JECT from.

Is it safe?

If you follow the instructions in the video tutorial it’s perfectly safe. E:JECT has a double locking mechanism so only fires when you press the remote. The button is depressed into the remote to avoid accidental presses.
